چکیده

Efforts to improve food security in Indonesia, especially Bali, need be supported by improvements cultivation techniques, including the management of pests and diseases. Legume crops are often attacked stem rot diseases which can cause decreased production economic losses. This disease is generally caused soil-borne pathogenic fungus Sclerotium rolfsii or Athelia rolfsii. The macroscopic microscopic morphologies two species same difficult distinguish, so molecular identification needed determine species. research aims isolate molecularly identify fungi that local legume plants Bali. Research methods include isolation from legumes showing symptoms pathogenicity test, highest levels virulent isolates, DNA extraction, amplification PCR, electrophoresis, ITS region sequencing, computer analysis sequences DNA. results pathogens Bali's obtained six fungal isolates coded SKT, SKB1, SKB2 SKB3, SKL SKN isolates. SKT had virulence rate after test peanut plants. Molecular show rolfsii, because it's a clade with GenBank 100% Bootstrap support.

Isolation, identification and biodiversity of endophytic fungi o Thymus

Endophytes are considered as an important source of bioactive natural products because thesemicroorganisms are able to occupy unique biological niches and grow in non-ordinaryenvironments. Therefore, endophytic fungi of medicinal plants can be developed for medicinalapplications. On the other hand, medicinal properties of plant can be ascribed to its endophyticfungi. Thymus sp. is widely used a...

Isolation and molecular identification of carotenoid-producing bacteria

The production of pigments from bacteria is significant due to the low cost, high yield and ease of extract compared with other sources. Carotenoids are one of the most important pigments with antioxidant properties which are the precursor of vitamin A synthesis and have antibody overproduction ability, anti-tumor activity and inhibitory effect on the cardiovascular disease. The present study a...

Changes in Molecular Size Distribution of Cellulose during Attack by White Rot and Brown Rot Fungi.

The kinetics of cotton cellulose depolymerization by the brown rot fungus Postia placenta and the white rot fungus Phanerochaete chrysosporium were investigated with solid-state cultures. The degree of polymerization (DP; the average number of glucosyl residues per cellulose molecule) of cellulose removed from soil-block cultures during degradation by P. placenta was first determined viscosimet...
